What is Power Suiting?
Power Suiting is a career advice blog about being kind, not ruthless. I share ways to get ahead by being yourself, a human, not some polished professional robot. It can be done.
I’ve done it. My friends have done it. I want to help you do it too.
I started this site out of a journalistic curiosity to uncover successful, creative women’s “power suits”—the secret-weapon-style clothes, accessories, and “lucky charms” that help them, not just to get through their days, but to get what they want out of them.
See the entire ongoing series here: What’s Your Power Suit?
But as these personal style interviews progressed, we were rarely just talking clothes.
The real story is how to get ahead in your career without giving up who you are.
Clothing is one tool, but there are so many more!
What to Expect Here
Who am I?
My name is Wendy Toth. I’m a professional writer, editor, and content strategist for outlets ranging from The New York Times to Parent.co.
I often wake up in a state of severe caffeine withdrawal, but I never let that stop me.
Instead I use my natural interest in other people, and all the skills I learned in my early days as reporter to find ways to get ahead.
Finally, I offer professional development coaching, especially if you’re in a creative field and trying to find new ways to move forward without sacrificing your passion. If you’re interested, contact me at: email@example.com
